The Greenville School Board adopted the CHART policy last night (2/22), making the school district the 10th one to adopt the abstinence-plus policy.  The district is also the 3rd of the four districts in Washington County (P1) to adopt the policy, following previous votes of the Leland and Western Line school boards.

We’re still waiting on the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) to approve our recommended abstinence-plus curricula.  Once that happens, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) will begin coordinating training sessions for teachers.  Greenville and other CHART districts should be done training by the middle of the summer break.

Hollandale is now the only district in Washington County that hasn’t voted on the CHART policy.  We expect that vote to take place in the coming weeks.  Stay tuned…
