What are the major goals of the State Board of Education?

The Mississippi Board of Education's three bold goals are:

• To mobilize resources and supports to help ensure that all students exit Third Grade reading on grade level by 2020
• To reduce the dropout rate to 13 percent by 2013; and
• To reach the national average on national assessments by 2013. These very bold goals are reachable if we all work extremely hard.
