The Senate failed to take action on SB 2367 by the February 9 deadline, causing this bill to die on the calendar.
Explanation of the Bill
Senate Bill 2367 would bring forward the Education Facilities Revolving Loan Program for possible amendment. The program was established in 2022 and provides K-12 schools and pre-K centers with interest-free loans to make renovations and repairs to their facilities.
As introduced, SB 2367 would have replaced the loan program with a grant program. On January 31, the Senate Appropriations Committee passed a committee substitute, which did not include the grant program.
