“Every child deserves a champion–an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”Dr. Rita Pierson I Educator
Revive Collegiate is located in Jackson, Mississippi.
Revive, a RePublic School, opened in 2022 and serves scholars in K-1 but will serve kindergarten through fourth grade at full enrollment. Revive is the fourth school to open in the RePublic Schools network in Jackson, Mississippi, and the second elementary school. (Today, there are four schools in Jackson that are part of RePublic Schools. They each have their own identity and make changes in their educational strategy based on the needs of the student population and the vision of the school leader.)
Revive’s founding principal is Dr. Trish Dean. Prior to becoming the founding principal at Revive, she served as the Director of Student Supports for Smilow Prep for three years. While at Smilow Prep, she worked to meet the school’s literacy and student engagement goals.
“Becoming the founding principal of Revive provides me with the opportunity to continue to serve families in Mississippi. I have an unwavering belief that all kids deserve an excellent education, and they are more than capable of excellence,” said Dr. Dean.
“At Revive, we will work tirelessly to make sure our scholars receive an excellent education driven by data and to build strong relationships with our scholars and their families to ensure that we are doing everything possible to push 100 percent of our scholars to be their best. We want our scholars to be self-confident in their ability to grow and learn, both academically and personally. We want our families to know that we encourage our scholars to be their best because we love them,” stated Dr. Dean.
Although Revive is in its founding year, it will continue to add grades until it reaches fourth grade. RePublic Schools will then open the upper school, Revive Prep, which will serve 5-8. Revive focuses heavily on building strong foundational skills in math, reading, and computer science that sets their scholars up for future academic success.
