2020 Public Charter School Survey Findings Released
Jackson, MS—This week, the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board and Mississippi First released new findings from a charter school parent satisfaction and awareness survey. Mississippi First was contracted by the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board (MCSAB) to conduct a parent satisfaction survey in the summer 2020 as part of the MCSAB’s federal Charter Schools Program (CSP) grant. Participants in Jackson, Clarksdale, and Greenwood—communities in which charter schools are authorized to operate—were randomly drawn from one of two parent pools: charter parents and non-charter parents. The charter parent pool consisted of all parents with children enrolled in charter schools in 2018-2019. The non-charter parent pool included parents with children who were eligible but not attending a charter that year.
