2025 Session

Amended by House; awaiting concurrence by Senate

Latest Action

On February 27, the House passed SB 2181 with a reverse repealer. The bill has been returned to the Senate for concurrence but will likely go to conference due to the reverse repealer.

Explanation of the Bill

As amended by the House, Senate Bill 2181 would exempt school district test security plans for statewide assessments from the Mississippi Public Records Act. The purpose of this is to ensure the strength of these security plans.

The bill contains a reverse repealer, indicating that it will go to conference for further revision. House Bill 1139, which is still alive, is similar.
